On the loom

This is my first time experimenting with log cabin in a color variation.  Surprisingly, this can be done on only two shafts.  It is the alternating thread colors and treadle sequence that makes the pattern look more complicated than it really is.  This project is a slight variation from the book Favorite Scandinavian Projects to Weave.  This is an excellent book for beginners.  It gives a modern look to a hobby that is often regarded as dowdy.
